Client Advocate


10-12 hours/week; 2 days/week

Oasis Resource Center strives to be a place of help and hope for families who seek our services. Oasis

Resource Center requires all employees to adhere to our mission, vision, and statement of faith.

Additionally, all employees must demonstrate personal accountability and emotional maturity that

anticipates the impact actions have on fellow employees, volunteers, and clients. To that end, good

communication skills, a teamwork orientation, time management, self-awareness, and a spirit of

excellence and compassion are essential qualities.

The Client Advocate (CA) should be a friendly, warm, and compassionate individual who can make

clients feel at ease in a confidential environment. Providing a calming, accepting environment is

important for establishing and facilitating a trusting relationship with our clients. The CA must be able to

connect with the clients in a nonjudgmental way while remaining firm in our mission.

Primary responsibilities are:

1. Greet clients cordially and help to make them feel welcome.

2. Provide relevant and accurate information.

3. Be able to explain the services offered by the center and services offered by referral agencies.

4. Document client notes from all sessions.

5. Follow up with clients as necessary.

6. Remain current on all BrightTraining lessons and HIPAA training.
