St. Louis Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is a new practice in Troy, MO. We are seeking a motivated and dependable medical assistant to join our team! Work in a fun and fast paced team-oriented environment where you can grow your skills and help our patients!

Duties:

• Obtain and document medical histories, vitals signs, and administer medication as directed by the physician
• Assist physicians with patient exams and all surgical procedures
• Under the direction of the physician, remove sutures, bandage wounds, provide patient instructions, etc
• Medical and surgical set-ups
• Phlebotomy
• Responsible for disinfection of procedure rooms, cleanup/sterilization of instruments
• Create and document standard operating procedures
• Manage the clinical component of Ipledge
• Clean the patient exam rooms and hallways weekly: floors, surfaces, counter tops, etc
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Performs other related duties as assigned
