Event Sales Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day venue operations, including event scheduling and coordination
- Maintain excellent customer relationships through prompt and professional communication
- Ensure that all events are executed smoothly, from setup to cleanup
- Manage and supervise venue staff, including scheduling and training
- Create and implement processes for event planning and execution, including event proposals, contracts, and invoices
- Collaborate with team to secure new business and increase revenue
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the local event market and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
- Ensure that all venue policies and procedures are being followed, including health and safety regulations
- Manage the venue budget and maintain accurate financial records
Event Sales Manager Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Proven track record of successfully managing a venue or similar establishment
- Event planning experience preferred
- Experience with event management software
- Sales experience
- Organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Compensation
- Hourly plus commission structure (Expected first year earnings range from $65,000 to $85,000, with uncapped commission based on sales performance)
