  • Friday                       8:00 am – 5:00 pm   
  • Saturday                   8:15 am – noon

Week B

  • Mon – Friday             8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Position Summary
The Wire & Investments Clerk is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the bank’s
accounting and wire transfer functions. This includes processing and verifying wire transactions,
balancing multiple accounts, issuing disbursements, and maintaining accurate records. The role
requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently while
managing multiple tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and file Consumer Use Tax documentation.
  2. Review daily reconciliation reports.
  3. Monitor and manage outstanding checks over six months old for CDs, IRAs, Money Orders, Cashier Checks, and Expense Accounts; reissue as necessary.
  4. Process bill payments for all facilities, including setting up pre-paid accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  5. Issue checks and notices for Christmas Club, CD interest.
  6. Balance the following accounts:
    • Cashier Checks and Money Orders (all locations)
    • Construction Disbursement Account
    • Transfund (monthly, daily, and pass-through accounts)
    • ACH Clearing House
    • Federal and State Withholding Accounts
    • Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac Escrow
    • Correspondent Banks (MIB – daily, FTB – daily, FHLB – monthly, PNC – monthly))
  7. Track tax withholding on IRAs and backup withholding payable (including EFTPS for tax payments)
  8. Perform report balancing for various accounts.
  9. Audit outgoing wires for required information and review recurring templates quarterly for documentation and signatures.
  10. Process and distribute incoming faxes to appropriate departments.
  11. 1099 NEC for board members
  12. Record of Contracts
  13. Assist in ordering supplies and distribution.
  14. Cross-train in various departmental functions to provide backup support, including Investments, GL postinG/balancing, entering GL descriptions, and non-post account review.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of banking operations and accounting/bookkeeping practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and solving problems independently.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Equivalent work experience demonstrating the ability to read, write, interpret, and apply instructions.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency with calculators, adding machines, and
    computers.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity required. Ability to stand, bend, some light lifting.
